Bad Ragaz - then still called Ragaz - was first mentioned in 845 AD. documented. Bad Ragaz has mutated from a former farming village into a world-famous spa and holiday resort. With almost 7,000 inhabitants today and an area of 25.4 km2, the town is one of the two southernmost communities in the canton of St. Gall.
Learn more about it on my tour. We start on the town hall square in the town center. The traces lead to the old Zurich war. You see the typical old buildings on the place and a small fire brigade museum. You can see a remnant of the first thermal water pipe, which still today brings the thermal water from the source in the Tamina Gorge to Bad Ragaz. Learn more about the history of the spa.
